Career Experience

           

Art Director for InMotion

Responsibilities include: Managing workflow for design and production departments. Facilitate and negotiate with staff of freelance designers and separators. Design and produce original artwork for various clients. Execute color separations of in-house and client supplied artwork. Maintain archives and computer network.

            Clients include: Yahoo!, Infineon Raceway, Brown and Bigelow, Baracuda Networks, Cisco Systems and many more.

Package Design Production Artist for LeapFrog Enterprises

Responsibilities included: Concept layout for educational toy product bundle packaging and collaterals, producing production ready layouts of package designs.

Creative Services Director for Asylum Design Services, LLC

Responsibilities included: Art Direction for all design development; Contract negotiation with freelance designers; Client liaison for all design and development issues; Management of Separations Department, facilitating color separation of digital files for screen printing; Maintenance of company Mac network to ensure reliability of company archives and availability of file transfer capabilities for our client base.

            Clients include: National Geographic, JHL Apparel, Trevco Inc. Merchandising, Tinman Merchandising, Orange County Choppers, American Hot Rod, Hummer, Queensryche, Matchbox 20, Lollapalooza, and many more.

            Award Winning Designer and Separator for Winterland Productions

Responsibilities included: Art Design and Color Separation for screen printing; Art Direction and design of company product catalogs in both print and digital form; Design of licensing magazine advertisements; Design of company digital style guides for client use; Maintenance of company art archives and Mac network.

            Clients include: Nsync, Backstreet Boys, Pokemon, Ricky Martin, Polo, Tommy Hilfiger, DKNY, The Learning Channel, and many more.

            Freelance Designer

Specializing in (but not limited to) cartooning and child related illustration, and digital interface design. Projects include: Designing print ads and collateral materials for clients such as Holiday Inns, Bluewood Books, and Arthur Andersen.  Creating user friendly Graphic User Interfaces for clients such as Ekids Internet, Lightspeed Interactive, Compaq, and IBM.  Designed the DVXpressª  DVD controller interface used on Compaq and IBM laptops.

            Production Artist on the WonderTools project for Fisher/Price and Compaq

Responsibilities included: Designing art and animations for the various activities which were part of the Launch&Learnª product, Designed the overall look and feel of the software interface, Assisted in sound effects editing.

 

Skills and Education

Fluent in Photoshop, Freehand, Illustrator, InDesign and Quark, Familiar with network and archiving issues and related software,  Fluent understanding of the Mac and PC.

Bachelors Degree in Fine Art from California State University at Sacramento
